Acclaimed musician and composer, Peter Buffett, announced last night during the debut of his Talk Back Tuesday series that he will be re-launching his Spirit: The Seventh Fire website. Talk Back Tuesdays is a monthly online chat (to occur on the first Tuesday of each month) that allows fans to talk in real-time with Peter via his exclusive Ning community.
Peter is re-launching the website for Spirit: The Seventh Fire, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the production, which is a Native American-inspired theatrical show with live native dancing, Powwow drummers and more.
The show tells the story of one mans journey of reconnecting with his heritage and the land on which he lives through Imax-scale video and imagery, live music, and an all-Native American cast of performers. After first being aired as a successful PBS Pledge Special, the show embarked on a nationwide tour in 1999. 10 years later, Peter is in talks to revive the production overseas in China. The new website features a background on the production, photos, video from the show, behind the scenes footage, and much more.
Fans can visit the new Spirit: The Seventh Fire site at www.spirit7thfire.com .
Buffetts Ning community provides a platform where members can receive exclusive material including videos, music and more. Similar to Facebook or MySpace, the Ning community allows members to interact with each other and add elements to their profiles, while receiving special content and alerts straight from Buffett.
The next Talk Back Tuesday will be Tuesday, August 4th at 8pm EST. Fans can log onto www.peterbuffett.com/ning to request an invitation to join the community in order to participate in the event and discover what Peters next big announcement will be.
