John Sr, Billy: Walks On

White Cone, Arizona

Funeral services were held for BILLY JOHN, SR, 88, on July 6, at the family residence in White Cone. Interment followed at the family plot in Na-Ah-Tee, Arizona. Billy was born December 17, 1922, in Cedar Springs, Arizona. He passed away July 1, 2011, in Flagstaff, Arizona.
   
Billy held various jobs during his long life. He cut wood at the White Mountain sawmill and worked at the Bellemont Army Depot during World War II. He worked for the El Paso Pipeline, did road construction and worked for the Atcheson-Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. He retired from there in 1986. After retirement, he continued to stay busy as a rancher and had multitudes of sheep, goats, cows and horses. (Navajo Times, July 7, 2011)
