Funeral services were held for MODESTA CLARK, 98, on July 11, at the Valley Baptist Church in Winslow. Interment followed at the Desert View Cemetery. Modesta was born April 12, 1913, in Leupp, Arizona. She died July 6, 2011, at the Fort Defiance Indian Hospital.
Modesta mastered rug weaving at an early age, and did work at the Winslow Indian Hospital for 35 years. She was a tremendous sister, mother and grandma to all her family and loved ones. (Navajo Times, July 14, 2011)
