George-Miller, Juanita: Walking On

Yakima, Washington

Funeral services were held for JUANITA GEORGE-MILLER, 74, on September 2, at the Wapato Longhouse. Interment followed at the Beavert Cemetery. Juanita was born July 4, 1937. She passed away September 1, 2011.
  
Juanita fished at Celilo Falls on the Columbia at a young age. She fished there until the Bonneville Dam covered it up. She had attended many schools including the Chemawa Indian School in Salem, Oregon; Goodnoe Hills near Goldendale, Washington; and the Granger, Washington schools.
