Funeral services were held for CHRISTINE JIM, 61, on November 16, at the Toppenish Creek Longhouse. Interment followed at Toppenish Creek Cemetery. Christine was born December 24, 1949, in White Swan, Washington. She passed away November 14, at her home.
Christine was raised and educated in White Swan. She was currently working for the Yakama Indian Health Service Unit, Toppenish, Washington, in the records department. Chris enjoyed teaching her children how to pick berries, gather roots, do beadwork and basketry. She was an avid pool player that won many championships. She was a member of the Yakama Nation and the Wa'ashut Religion. (Yakama Nation Review, November 30, 2011)
