King, Paul Leo Sr.

MINNESOTA, Red Lake – Funeral services were held for PAUL LEO KING, SR, 83, on October 2, 2009 at St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Church in Red Lake. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Cemetery. Paul was born August 6, 1926, in Red Lake. He passed away September 29, 2009, at Red Lake Hospital.

Paul attended and graduated from Red Lake Mission boarding school. Then, at the age of 17, he joined the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a wheel man on an ore boat in Duluth, Minnesota for 7 years. He was a fisherman for many years. In the 1960s he began working for Red Lake Sanitation Department as a Supervisor, where he remained until he retired in 1994. He also worked for the River Road Casino in Maintenance for a short time.
