Auld, Carson Joseph: Walks On

MONTANA, Elmo – Funeral services were held for CARSON JOSEPH AULD, 56, on September 9, 2009, at the Cultural Hall in Elmo. Interment followed at Dayton Cemetery with Military Honors. Carson was born October 8, 1952 at St. Ignatius, Montana. He passed away September 6, 2009.

Carson was raised and educated in boarding schools and joined the Army before retiring home on the Flathead Reservation where he spent many hours with his adopted family. Together they would go out and cut wood, hunt and fish and enjoy being in the mountains. He worked for the Salish and Kootenai College for many years until he went to work for th Tribe as a fisheries technician and was helping with the restoration of rivers and wetlands. Known by many, he was always a man with simple wishes, he kept to himself and a few close friends and enjoyed being around his daughter and granddaughter.
