Dedman, Kenneth C. Sr.

ARIZONA, St. Michaels – Funeral services for KENNETH C. DEDMAN, SR, 63, were held September 24, 2009, at the St. Michael Catholic Church. Interment followed at the family plot in Nazlini, Arizona. Kenneth was born February 14, 1946, in Ganado, Arizona. He passed away September 20, 2009, in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Kenneth attended Nazlini Boarding School and Chinle Boarding School for his elementary years. Later he was sent to Riverside, California, to attend school up to the eighth grade. He went to work for the Navajo Forestry Products Industry and was given the duties of a foreman, a position he held for 25 years. Later he was employed at Walgreens in Flagstaff, and later as a security officer with the Navajo Engineering Construction Authority before retiring due to his health. Kenneth enjoyed being with family and friends, taking the responsibility of making sure families were kept warm and had necessities such as water and wood. He had encouraging words on education, work and life, making sure love, respect, and faith was maintained among us. (Navajo Times, September 24, 2009)
