Ladeaux, Anthony Filmore:Walks On

MINNESOTA, Duluth – A wake was held for ANTHONY FILMORE LADEAUX, 62, August 31, 2009, at the Peace United Church of Christ in Duluth. Tony was born July 10, 1947, in Alliance, Nebraska. He passed away August 25, 2009, at St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth.

Tony grew up in the Chicago, Illinois, area and graduated from high school. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1966-1968. Following his military service he moved to the Walker/Cass Lake area before moving to Duluth where he spent the last 25 years. During his years in Duluth he was very active in his church and community, was honored for his involvement in the Citizens Review Board, and was the leader of the American Indian Commission Committee. He also enjoyed spending his time at powwows and participating in sweat lodges. Tony was an avid reader, and talented at doing beadwork. (DeBahJiMon, September 2009)
