Littlewolf, Judy Jane: Walks On

MINNESOTA, Walker – Funeral services for JUDY JANE LITTLEWOLF, 50, were held September 5, 2009, at St. Johns Episcopal Chuch in Onigum, Minnesota. Interment followed at St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery. Judy was born November 16, 1958, in Cass Lake, Minnesota. She passed away September 1, 2009, at the Cass Lake Indian Health Service following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Judy grew up in Old Agency and attended school in Walker. Later in life she got her GED and attended Bemidji Technical College, enrolling in the secretarial course, with some accounting. She then worked at various temporary jobs. In 1989, she began working at the Cass Lake Indian Hospital where she continued for 13 years in the Business office as the billing/coding/registration/and benefits coordinator. The last six years she was employed by the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe working with the employees and their benefits. She loved the past two jobs and found them very rewarding because they helped other people in the health care area. Judy was active in her community, investing her time in fundraising, being involved with her church, and playing softball. She attended Elsie and Andy’s Evangelical Church and was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church for many years. (DeBahJiMon, September 2009)
