Interment followed at Mountain View Cemetery also in Ronan. James was born October 20, 1951, in Arlee, Montana. He was instrumental in improving Charlo Youth Baseball and worked with the tribe in securing land for the development of baseball fields. He diligently worked for many years to maintain the fields and keep them in shape for the kids to enjoy. From these activities he and his family were later selected as the Montana winner for the National Families in Baseball competition. James was a hard worker and he enjoyed his many years working for the irrigation project. He enjoyed working with the crew at Nine Pipe camp and the local farmers and ranchers. He loved being in the woods and spent many hours picking huckleberries and cutting firewood. He spent many days logging and hunting with his friends and family. He had a flourishing Christmas tree business in Spokane, Washington, where for many years he personally sold all the trees he cut and had many loyal customers.
