Jackson, Carl "Corky"

OREGON, Klamath Falls – CARL “CORKY” JACKSON, 79, passed away September 10, 2009, at his home in Klamath Falls. Carl was born September 29, 1929, in Blue Lake, California.

Mr. Jackson was born and raised in Northern California and Southern Oregon. He attended the Chemawa Indian School in Salem, Oregon. He worked at the local mills, Klamath Agency & Ranch, Chiloquin and Chemult ranger stations, the Klamath Falls City Parks, and Fred Meyer until he decided to retire. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping at Rocky Ford, and traveling with his family to powwows. He also competed in rodeos. (Klamath News, August/September 2009)
