Suspect arrested in death of San Diego teen

Lakeside, California (AP) March 2011

Authorities say they have arrested a suspect in the killing of a San Diego-area high school student whose body and burned vehicle were found on an Indian reservation.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said officers arrested Stanley Virgil Lloyd Jr. at his residence in Lakeside in connection with the October 2010 death of 17-year-old Christopher Carioscia.

Sgt. Roy Frank says investigators cannot release any details about Lloyd or his arrest because the investigation is continuing and there may be more suspects.

Police say the boy told his family that he was going surfing Oct. 26.

Authorities say his burned car was found the next day on the Barona Indian Reservation east of San Diego and his body was found there Dec. 4 with multiple gunshot wounds.
