A Mandaree man has been sentenced to serve a year and nine months in prison for assaulting and resisting federal officers.
Forty-one-year-old James Yellow Wolf was accused of pushing an officer to the floor during an appearance in Fort Berthold Tribal Court in New Town last March, and then wrestling with officers who tackled him. He pleaded guilty in June.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says Yellow Wolf will be on supervised release for two years following his prison term.
