Two Wolf Point men plead not guilty to murder

Two Wolf Point men charged with murder pleaded not guilty in Fort Peck Tribal Court in mid Febuary.

Kenneth “Tex” Devereaux, 20, and Aaron Beston, 21, are accused of killing 47-year-old Charles Plante, Port Peck tribal prosecutor Leland Spotted Bird said. Devereaux and Beston were arrestedin mid Febuary.

Both men were held in tribal jail on $5,000 bond, the maximum allowable under tribal code.

Plante, also of Wolf Point, died at a Billings clinic after being transferred from a hospital.

Details of the alleged homicide weren’t available. An autopsy was performed, but the cause of death hasn’t been released.
