Wittenberg, Wisconsin (AP) 3-08
The Ho-Chunk tribe will break ground on a new ancillary casino just north of Wittenberg.
It will be a small casino with about 600 gaming machines and a bar and restaurant.
The Ho-Chunk say the $20 million project will add more than 100 jobs to the area and should open by this fall.
Wittenberg President Paul Yaeger says the village is growing by extending sewer and water services to the project area. Yaeger says a new industrial park is also extending the village borders.
The Ho-Chunk also has a bigger casino in Baraboo. Its new ancillary casino is about 15 miles away from the Stockbridge-Munsees Mohican casino in Bowler.
