-June 1993: The U.S. Department of Interior approves an agreement between New York and the Oneida Indian Nation that allows Turning Stone casino to open.

-July 1993: Turning Stone opens.

-March 1999: Upstate Citizens for Equality files a lawsuit saying Turning Stone is operating illegally because the state Legislature never approved the agreement.

-June 2004: State Supreme Court Justice James McCarthy agrees with UCE and declares the agreement invalid.

-September 2005: Appellate division upholds McCarthy's ruling.

-May 2006: Court of Appeals upholds the decision.

-October 2006: Oneida nation appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court.

-Dec. 4, 2006: U.S. Supreme Court refuses to the hear case.

-March 15, 2007: Department of Interior tells the state and Oneidas it will reconsider its 1993 approval of the agreement.

-June 14, 2007: Interior decision expected.
