The longtime curator of the Sioux Indian Museum in Rapid City has retired.
Paulette Montileaux became curator for the museum in the early 1980s. She says she is leaving for family reasons.
She says she is proud about the museums growth during her time. She also says that working at the museum and learning about her own heritage and culture made her proud of who she is.
