Cody hunters find human skull

Cody, Wyoming (AP) 2-08

A couple of Cody residents out hunting for rabbits found a partially exposed human skull east of town over a weekend in mid Febuary.

A subsequent investigation determined the skull likely was a Native American and could be about a thousand years old.

The Bureau of Land Management initiated a process whereby the skull could be turned over to Native American groups for reburial.
