New Mexicos Kewa Pueblo, formerly known as Santo Domingo Pueblo, is receiving a $450,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Housings Indian Community Development Block Grant program.
Democratic U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman says the program helps meet the housing needs of low-income tribal communities.
The programs aims include decent housing and economic opportunities.
Bingaman announced the award last week.
