The president-elect of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe says she will remain the chief professional officer for the Northern Cheyenne Boys & Girls Club until she is sworn in.

Geri Small, who was the tribal president from 2000-2004, said she is not sure when she will take the oath for the presidency she won in an election during late February. Small’s previous presidency ended with her election defeat by Eugene Little Coyote.

Last year, the tribal council ousted Little Coyote. He is seeking reinstatement.

After Little Coyote’s removal, Rick Wolfname served as the interim president. He now resumes his position as vice president.
