Patty Loew is a film producer for WHA-TV (PBS) from the Madison, Wisconsin area also a professor in the Department of Life Science Communication at the University of Wisconsin. Loew has spent 12 years as a co-anchor for WKOW TV (ABC) in Madison, Wis., co-host of In Wisconsin, a weekly news and public affairs program that airs statewide on Wisconsin Public Television, and is an enrolled member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe.

Her outreach efforts have focused on promoting diversity in television newsrooms. she is also a member of (NAJA) the Native American Journalists Association and served on the Program Committee for Unity Journalists of Color Conference (National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Asian American Journalists Association, Native American Journalists Association).

Loew is interviewed at the 2008 UNITY conference of Journalists of Color in Chicago July 27 as she waits for a presentation by presidential candidate Barack Obama.
