Catching a young Ojibwe man being good once again

Joe Parker grew up on the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Reserve in northwestern Wisconsin, facing many challenges... He went to prison at an early age, but he got out last year.

Now, he's getting his life together with the Fresh Start Program. The Fresh Start program provides youth at risk with house building experience, along with other life skills and support.

Members have built three houses in the past few years. The new homes built by members are sold to low to moderate income residents in the community.

Nick Vander Puy talked with Joe Parker, the other day at the job site, while he was finishing some sheetrock joints.
